## Critical Life-Saving Rules

Working inside vessel shells, storage tanks, and column drums carries acute risk of oxygen depletion and toxic gas accumulation.

1. **Four-Gas Atmospheric Testing**: Oxygen, combustible gas (LEL), CO, and H2S must be tested top, middle, and bottom. 2. **Positive Mechanical Isolation**: Slip blinding or physical disconnection; never trust a closed valve alone. 3. **Dedicated Standby Attendant**: A sentry with full radio communications stationed outside at all times. 4. **Forced Ventilation**: Air-moving blowers must run continuously during occupancy.
